Shanghai Pacific Legal (“the Firm”) is expanding new service offerings in data privacy and cybersecurity as well as dispute resolution with the hiring of Partner Tracy Sun and Counsel Rongxin Huang respectively.  

Tracy, who joins from Novartis China, has extensive experiences on data privacy, data and cybersecurity compliance as well as data breach response in China, and help clients to tackle data compliance challenges and digital transformation in an increasingly complicated legal regime. She has been advising clients in a broad range of industries with an industrial focus on pharmaceutical, internet and technology, e-commerce, telecommunication, medical device and other new technology-driven sectors. 

Rongxin frequently represents clients in litigation, arbitration and enforcement proceedings with respect to financial products, M&A, private equity investment, reorganization and commercial contracts, several of which are landmark cases within the industry. He also advises financial institutions clients on financial compliance with respect to bonds, derivatives, securities, and information disclosure requirements for listed companies.
